Knock-out, knock-off!

If you follow Stella McCartney’s line at all, you’ll recognize these earrings. Recently released by the designer and available on net-a-porter.com, these dangly pearl clip-ons will set you back a cool $430, before shipping. Don’t have $430+ to drop on a little costume jewelry, but love the look? Well, guess what, you’re in luck. We found a pair, incredibly similar to Madame McCartney’s in one of our recent estate aquisitions.

They are slightly oversized, done in faux pearl with a brass clip, just like the modern McCartney version. They are not quite as large as Stella’s, making them infinitely more wearable–for daytime events with sundresses, for evening events with your little black dress, or on your weekend grocery trip with jeans and t-shirt. As previously mentioned, they’re faux, making them cruelty-free, so you can rest your head knowing the little sleeping oysters from Disney’s Alice in Wonderland (original animated version, not the incredibly disappointing Burton mess) weren’t robbed of their precious treasure. The pair we’re offering dates back to the mid 1950′s, early 1960′s and a similar design has been seen on the late Jackie O. The best part of all: ours are only $14.
